Circa Offset is a part of the Circa Luminaire Collection by A+U LAB. Comprising two distinct styles, Circa Offset and Circa Stripes, the collection explores the intersection of simple geometry and tactile warmth. Crafted from high-quality fabric paper, these fixtures cast a soft, filtered glow that transforms an interior into a poetic, ephemeral environment.
Circa Offset is defined by a distinctive horizontal offset recess that punctuates the cylinder’s verticality, creating an architectural ‘gap’ that radiates a concentrated warmth. When illuminated, the intricate patterns of translucent fibers are revealed, bringing the organic texture of the paper to life. Each shade is handcrafted, with paper layered onto a precision-engineered, 3D-printed frame. This ‘hidden enabler’ provides an incredibly lightweight yet stable skeleton, allowing the hand-applied skin to remain the primary focus.
Stripping away the ornamental, the collection centers on the essential relationship between light and structure, a modern fusion of traditional craft and contemporary technology. Supported by a minimalist metal base, the collection is available in both table and floor lamp configurations, offering a versatile solution for the modern, contemplative interior.
